The Nursing Assistant performs basic patient care activities delegated by the Registered Nurse to assist the nursing staff in providing quality patient care, including maintaining a safe and comfortable environment. Responsibilities involve assisting with ADLs, collecting medical data like vital signs, and adhering strictly to infectious disease policies and patient safety goals.
Candidates must possess a High School diploma or equivalency, along with previous Nursing Assistant experience or completion of at least one clinical rotation if currently a nursing student. Required certifications include Nursing Assistant Certification and BLS from the American Heart Association, with the ability to communicate effectively in English.
Shall be accountable for patient care delivered. Shall be accountable for maintaining the confidentiality and security of all hospital-related, medical staff-related and patient-related data and information. Shall be accountable for abiding by all relevant Medical Center Policies and Procedures. Shall be accountable for observing all policies and procedures of the unit, including Infection Control Policy and Procedures. VII.
Minimum Education: High School diploma or equivalency. Minimum Experience: Requires previous Nursing Assistant experience or for nursing students, one clinical rotation completed. Minimum skills/abilities: Able to communicate verbally and in writing in the English language. Able to complete mathematical computations required to perform treatment protocols. Able to lift, transfer and move patients Certification/Licensure: Nursing Assistant Certification Required. BLS required from American Heart Association. In place of a CNA license, must be enrolled in an accredited nursing school and have completed at least one clinical rotation Compensation Range: $17.88- $26.57 This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications.
