The technician is responsible for conducting routine CT exams for inpatients and/or outpatients, ensuring adherence to established protocols for positioning, image quality, and radiation safety. This involves utilizing CT scanners, power injectors, computers, and software to input patient information into hospital databases.
Candidates must possess a High School diploma or equivalent and knowledge normally acquired through an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Required certifications include ARRT in Cat Scan within twelve months and New Jersey state licensure in Radiologic Technology.
Responsible for performing routine CT exams in either inpatients and/or outpatients setting in accordance with established protocols for position, image quality, and radiation safety. Utilizes a variety of equipment including CT Scanners, power injectors, as well as computers and various software programs to enter patient related information into hospital databases. Contributes to the overall excellence of the department through commitment to personal excellence in technical and interpersonal skill.
