The Certified Nurse Assistant functions in an assistive role to the licensed nurse, providing patient care activities. These activities are performed as delegated and directed by the supervising nurse.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED and have completed a state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant Program. Required credentials include current Washington State Nursing Assistant certification and current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, with a minimum of one year of experience in long-term or acute care preferred.
