The Neonatal Nurse Practitioner will provide clinical care in a Level 2 NICU, including performing procedures like intubations and line placements. They will also collaborate with a team of NNPs and a remote Neonatologist to coordinate patient care and decision-making.
Candidates must be Board Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioners with an unrestricted medical license in the state of Iowa. Experience is preferred, and the ability to work in the United States is required.
12-hour shifts with 12 hours of in-house call. A dedicated onsite NNP sleep room is provided, with a 30-minute response time requirement Level 2 NICU with 4 beds Average NICU census of 3-4/month and newborn nursery census of 4-8/day Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve Specialty skills: Circumcisions, intubations, surfactant administration UVC/UAC line placement/management, chest tube placement and management; CPAP mangagment Evaluates, interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skills
