The role involves comprehensive patient care, including examination, evaluation, diagnosis, prognosis, and implementing therapeutic interventions for adult and pediatric patients within the scope of Occupational Therapy. Responsibilities also include collaborating on care plans, providing patient/family education, supervising support staff, and participating in program and professional development activities.
Candidates must meet educational requirements for professional licensure as an Occupational Therapist and possess current, good-standing licensure to practice in Iowa. Additionally, maintaining current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required, along with fluency in English and basic computer skills.
Position Accountabilities/Duties: · Perform daily cleaning and maintenance tasks such as mopping, vacuuming, wiping down counters, cleaning bathrooms, emptying garbage, etc. · Take down and rehang drapes and curtains · Move furniture, beds, and set up rooms Development & Education: · Reading, writing and mathematical skills at level normally acquired through completion of high school or equivalent preferred. Basic UPH Performance Criteria · Demonstrates the UnityPoint Health Values and Standards of Behaviors as well as adheres to policies and procedures and safety guidelines. · Practices and reflects knowledge of HIPAA, DIA, OSHA and other federal/state regulatory agencies guiding healthcare.
