The Physical Therapist assumes responsibility for the ongoing interdisciplinary and individualized plan of care in partnership with the patient and family, which includes assessing functional status and evaluating the home environment. Duties also involve providing education, initiating therapy programs, instructing others on therapy phases, and supervising physical therapy assistants according to regulations.
Candidates must possess and maintain licensure to practice Physical Therapy in Washington State, and have graduated from an accredited program with at least a baccalaureate or doctorate degree in physical therapy. A valid driver's license, personal automobile with insurance, and active BLS CPR certification are also mandatory requirements.
Assumes the responsibility for the on-going interdisciplinary and individualized plan of care in partnership with the patient, family/representative and/or caregiver(s). Assessing and evaluating therapeutic/rehabilitative/functional status, and participation in the development of the total plan of care. Evaluates home environment. Provides patient, family, and/or caregiver counseling, education, and progress summary based on the attainment of goals. Initiates physical therapy program and instructs other personnel and/or family/caregiver members in certain phases of physical therapy with which they may work with a patient, as well as instructing them as to the goals of the physical therapy program for the patient by participating in case conferences. Supervises physical therapy assistant(s) according to organizational policy and in alignment with state regulations. Completes daily documentation, scheduling Knowledge, Skills and Experience Possess and maintains licensure to practice Physical Therapy in the state of Washington. Graduated from an accredited CAPTE or successor organization with at least a baccalaureate degree for legacy programs or a doctorate's degree in physical therapy. Possesses and maintains a valid and active BLS CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Possesses and maintains a valid drivers' license and personal automobile with insurance for daily travel as a requirement. Schedule, Pay and Benefits Full-time Monday through Friday, flexible scheduling. Hourly $50 - 60 /hour DOE + Mileage Reimbursement. Medical/Dental/Vision available the 1st of the month after hire.
