The Clinical Dietitian conducts nutrition assessments for at-risk patients to determine and develop appropriate nutrition therapy plans, documenting findings in patient records using a multidisciplinary approach. Responsibilities also include serving as a resource for staff, participating in research, monitoring foodservice personnel, and ensuring optimal nutritional service delivery.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition/Dietetics and complete a Dietetic Internship or supervised practice program. Registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is required, or the candidate must be registry eligible and pass the exam within six months of internship completion.
