The Registered Nurse will provide care in the 12-bed Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) to patients with complex, highly acute medical issues such as respiratory failure, sepsis, and organ injury/failure. Staff will work in a fast-paced environment, challenging their critical thinking and medical knowledge while collaborating with Physician Assistants, APRNs, and physicians.
Candidates must possess a current Connecticut RN License and be a graduate of an accredited nursing school with a BSN required; ASN/ADN graduates pursuing a BSN/MSN may be considered in exceptional cases. A minimum of one year of acute care RN experience is strongly preferred, and BLS certification by the American Heart Association is required prior to the hire date.
