Supervising Dentist\n\n \n\nPosition Summary: \nSupervises patient care services provided in the dental hygiene clinic. \n\n \n\n \n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities: \n\n \n\nResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:  \n \n\n *  Provides anesthesia for patient care when indicated \n\n  \n\n *  Administers nitrous oxide when indicated \n\n  \n\n * Manages emergency medical procedures when necessary \n\n  \n\n * Monitors safety practices and infection control standards in the dental\n clinic. \n\n  \n\n * Authorizes and documents radiographs indicated for patient care. \n\n  \n\n * Authorizes dental hygiene treatment plan based on review of\n medical/dental history. \n   \n\n * Administers pharmaceutical medications when indicated for patient care. \n\n  \n\n * Performs other clinical duties as directed by the Director of Dental\n Hygiene. \n \n\n * Maintains regular and reliable attendance. \n \n\n * Performs other duties as assigned. \n\n \nSkills/Competencies/Qualifications: \n\n \n\n•  Current dental license in the state of practice \n\n•  Professional experience necessary to understand and fulfill program goals \n•  Current CPR certification/health care provider \n\n•  Excellent oral and written communications \n\n•  Five years of full-time dental practice experience \n\n \n\nClassification: Exempt \n\n \n\nWork Hours: part-time, hours can vary daily and include evening/weekend hours. \n\n \n\nTravel: None \n\nWorking Environment: Interior/Office
