The surgeon will practice at Platte Valley and St. Joseph Hospital, anticipating two days per week in surgery and three days per week in dedicated clinic time, while also covering Level III general orthopedic call approximately every fifth rotation. Responsibilities also include occasional ER calls and inpatient rounding with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
Candidates must possess a Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree and have completed a graduate fellowship medical education training program in Orthopedic Surgery from an accredited institution. Fellowship training in adult reconstruction/total joint arthroplasty is required, along with active medical licensure and Basic Life Support Certification.

Platte Valley Hospital is currently a Level III facility, with a dedicated team of 12 providers: 5 APPs, 4 MDs and 3 DPMs. Fellow physicians specialize in total joints, sports medicine, and hand surgery. We are currently seeking a fellowship trained Total Joint Arthroplasty Orthopedic Surgeon to join our team. In this role you can expect to work at Platte Valley and the Brighton Clinic. Additional practice information This position includes a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance (if applicable) You can anticipate 2 days per week in surgery and dedicated in-office clinic days 3 days per week Level III general orthopedic call, roughly Q5; compensation offered for call requirement You can anticipate occasional ER calls, inpatient consults and rounding with APPs Stryker Mako Robot at Platte Valley Hospita The ideal candidate An ideal candidate will be fellowship trained in total joint arthroplasty with a desire to take general orthopedic call and perform occasional sports medicine procedures as needed. Robotic experience with the Stryker Mako Robot and upper extremity experience are a plus but not required.
