The Physical Therapist Assistant provides age, culture, and condition-appropriate treatment to patients in the assigned clinical area and ensures documentation meets peer review requirements. This role involves communicating patient information to the supervising therapist, family, physicians, and team members, as well as supervising aides and students when requested.
Candidates must possess an Associate's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program and be licensed or eligible for licensure in Texas; no prior experience is required, although one year is preferred. The assistant must provide services under the guidelines set by the Texas Board of Physical Therapy Advisors and adhere to all legal and institutional standards.
