The role involves providing comprehensive primary care to pediatric patients in an outpatient setting, including conducting wellness exams, acute care visits, and developmental screenings. Responsibilities also include coordinating care with specialists and educating families on various aspects of child health and wellness.
Candidates must be a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner who is Board Eligible or Board Certified and able to obtain an unrestricted license in the state of practice. Applicants must also hold current prescribing authority and be eligible to work in the United States.
The role: Provide comprehensive primary care to pediatric patients in an outpatient setting Conduct routine wellness exams, acute care visits, and developmental screenings Coordinate care with pediatric specialists Educate families on wellness, nutrition, safety, and preventive care Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical team meetings The clinic: Established team of 8 physicians and 4 advanced practitioners Established, growing outpatient practice serving the Des Moines community from within the walls of Blank Children’s Hospital Cohesive group of colleagues and supportive staff allowing for autonomy while building the practice according to your preferences Experienced staff, both clinical and non-clinical, who know the patients and the community Full-time position, including dedicated administrative time, with flexible scheduling to ensure sufficient patient access 24/7 dedicated pediatric hospitalist program is responsible for pediatric inpatients and newborn nursery Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination
