The Physical Therapy Assistant will work under the supervision of a Physical Therapist to implement the patient's Care Plan, providing quality and compassionate care to mentally and/or physically impaired patients. Responsibilities also include communicating patient progress, assisting with scheduling, documenting care according to requirements, and instructing family or nursing staff on follow-through programs.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program culminating in an associate degree and hold current state licensure as a PTA or equivalent in the service area. CPR certification is required when mandated by regulations.
