The physician will evaluate, interpret, and coordinate information to make decisions regarding patient care while maintaining a patient-focused approach. They will also work collaboratively with a team to improve community health outcomes.
Candidates must hold an MD or DO and be board eligible or certified in obstetrics & gynecology. They should also be able to obtain an unrestricted license to practice in Iowa and have the authority to prescribe medications.
Average patients per day: 18-25 Average deliveries: 40 Work schedule: 4-day workweek Call rotation: Minimum 1:4 Weekend Call: 1 per month Weekday Call: 1 per week Clinic Hours: Monday - Thursday: 8am-5pm Friday: 8am-4pm 12-1:30pm reserved for attending L&D, rounding, and cesarean sections Call response time: 20 minutes, with option to take call from home if preferred; sleep room available for in-house call Pediatric Hospitalist coverage: 24/7 Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve Evaluates, interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skills
