The LPTA performs physical therapy procedures and assists the Registered Physical Therapist in patient activities. They also supervise technicians, volunteers, and students as assigned.
Candidates must be graduates of an APTA accredited program for Physical Therapist Assistants and hold a current Alabama license. BCLS certification is required within the orientation period, and excellent communication skills are essential.
Overview Performs physical therapy procedures and other related tasks under the direction of a Registered Physical Therapist (RPT) and assists the RPT in patient activities. Supervises technicians, volunteers and students as assigned.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Experience required: Education: Graduate of APTA accredited educational program for Physical Therapists Assistants required. Must have current Alabama license. Must receive BCLS certification within orientation period. Prefer member of APTA.
