The Medical Assistant performs delegated nursing functions under the direction of the department manager and clinical nurses, assisting with direct patient care and essential clerical duties for optimal patient care coordination. Key tasks include scheduling, patient hygiene, mobility assistance, vital signs, charting, ordering supplies, and maintaining patient areas.
The minimum requirement is a high school diploma or equivalent along with successful completion of a Medical Assistant training course from a vocational or technical school, with no prior experience explicitly required. Preferred qualifications include completing a Medical Assistant externship and having two or more years of relevant job-related experience.

This position is responsible for assisting with direct patient care and clerical duties that are an essential function in the coordination of optimal patient care, including, but not limited to scheduling patients, patient hygiene/toileting, mobility assistance, interdepartmental transportation, vital signs, charting, ordering supplies, cleaning and stocking patient areas, chart audits and interaction with all areas of the department .
