The Physician is responsible for providing quality medical services, engaging in the diagnosis, prevention, or treatment of disease, defects, or injuries, and rendering medical treatment consistent with professional standards of care. This role also involves completing accurate medical records, participating in after-hours call coverage, and engaging in academic activities like committee service or community outreach.
Candidates must possess a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree, successfully complete residency, and be Board Certified or Board Eligible, requiring active Medical Staff Privileges. Essential credentials include a South Carolina Medical License, South Carolina Controlled Substance License, and a Drug Enforcement Agency Number.
