The physician will manage an average of 20-25 patients daily in an outpatient setting, performing general family medicine procedures like joint injections and skin excisions, while sharing telephonic call duties on a 1:14 rotation with no inpatient responsibilities.
Candidates must possess an MD or DO degree and be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine, along with holding an unrestricted Iowa medical license and federal prescribing authority.
Average of 20-25 patients per day; no nights or weekends No inpatient responsibilities Hospitalist Program is responsible for serving adult and pediatric inpatients Telephonic outpatient call only, no need to physically report to clinic/hospital Call shared equitably by primary care providers, currently 1:14 rotation Calls are triaged through My Nurse Call Center, very minimal call volume Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve General family medicine procedures such as joint injections, skin excisions, lacerations, casting, etc. Evaluates, interprets, and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical, and problem-solving skills
