The Occupational Therapist will evaluate residents, develop individualized treatment plans focusing on ADLs and functional mobility, and implement interventions for various conditions. They must also collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, educate residents/families, and maintain timely documentation.
Candidates must possess an active Occupational Therapist license in California and hold a Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Required knowledge includes post-acute rehabilitation, ADL retraining, and adaptive equipment, alongside strong communication and documentation skills.
Anticipated Start Date: ASAP
Up to $2,340 weekly Anticipated duration of contract: 13 weeks Contract type: Travel, Permanent, or Travel-to-Perm Clinical Duties: Evaluate residents and develop individualized treatment plans. Provide skilled OT services to improve ADLs and functional mobility. Implement interventions for orthopedic, neurological, and post-acute conditions. Train residents in adaptive techniques and use of assistive equipment. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to coordinate care. Educate residents and families on treatment plans and discharge goals. Document evaluations, daily notes, and progress reports timely. Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed. Ensure compliance with facility policies and state regulations. Required Qualifications: Active Occupational Therapist license in the state of California. Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Knowledge of post-acute rehabilitation, ADL retraining, and adaptive equipment. Ability to assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans. Strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills. Proficient documentation and time management skills.
