This role involves providing comprehensive care to pediatric patients across ambulatory, inpatient, and surgical settings, including performing physical assessments, diagnosing health problems, and managing patient care according to the Scope of Practice Agreement. Essential functions include acting as a surgical first assist and managing pre- and post-operative care, ordering diagnostic tests, and planning/modifying patient interventions and medications.
Candidates must successfully complete an Accredited PA program and obtain National Physician Assistant Certification within 90 days of employment, along with holding Florida Licensure as a Physician Assistant upon hire. Prior healthcare/patient care experience is strongly preferred, and experience working in Orthopedics is preferred.
