Description Position Overview

Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse for a high-acuity PCU assignment in Columbus, Ohio. This role supports oncology patients in a fast-paced progressive care environment with a mix of PCU and Med-Surg acuity.

Schedule

Day or Night shift options available
3x12-hour shifts
Day: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Night: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Self-schedule requests accepted prior to final schedule posting
Rotating weekends based on unit needs

Compensation

Gross: $2,359 per week
W2: $24.50 per hour
Tax-Free
Stipend: $1,477 per week
Locals accepted at the same rate

Unit

Overview:
18 James – Medical Oncology PCU
36-bed oncology telemetry unit
Over 24 beds designated PCU-level care
Adult and geriatric patient population
Pediatric patients are extremely rare (no pediatric experience required)

Clinical Focus

Solid tumor, orthopedic oncology, and thoracic oncology patients
High-acuity PCU with some Med-Surg
Chemotherapy, blood transfusions, IV antibiotics
Heparin and insulin drips
Heavy focus on infection prevention and fall prevention

Requirements

Active Compact RN license or Ohio RN license REQUIRED at submission
Minimum 2 years RN experience REQUIRED
High-acuity PCU experience REQUIRED
Bls, acls, and nihss required
Telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation REQUIRED
Epic experience REQUIRED
Ability to float within oncology PCU and Med-Surg units REQUIRED

Preferred

Oncology experience
Previous travel experience
