The technologist manages all aspects of the Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT Departments, including compliance, ordering, inspections, and staff training, while performing diagnostic imaging procedures and administering radiopharmaceuticals under physician direction. Essential duties involve ensuring regulatory compliance, performing quality control, preparing diagnostic data for interpretation, and maintaining patient safety through adherence to radiation safety protocols.
Candidates must possess 2-5 years of prior Nuclear Medicine/PET CT experience and hold certification from ARRT-N or NMTCB, along with proficiency in Nevada Radioactive Materials License and ACR requirements. The role demands superior knowledge of procedures, competency in venipuncture and contrast administration, and the ability to manage time and stress effectively in a medical office environment.
