The Physical Therapist Assistant implements treatment plans developed by the supervising therapist, monitors patient responses, and communicates progress and goal revisions. Responsibilities also include documenting services, educating patients and families, assisting with discharge planning, and providing information on adaptive equipment.
Candidates must possess an Associate's degree and be a graduate of a Physical Therapy Assistant program, licensed in the state of Kentucky, and hold Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Required skills include critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to function effectively in a stressful environment with minimal supervision.
