The technologist performs basic radiologic exams and venipuncture procedures while utilizing radiation safety practices to ensure high-quality examinations. Essential functions include performing ordered radiologic exams, selecting proper technical factors, operating equipment, and obtaining/preparing specimens for laboratory testing.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED and successfully complete an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology Program. Required certifications include current BLS and ARRT registry (or ability to obtain within six months), with one year of experience preferred.
