The clinician is expected to practice general neurology while simultaneously developing a neuro-palliative practice within a collaborative, team-oriented group. Responsibilities include primarily ambulatory clinic work, shared telephonic group call, and optional hospital consultation service.
Candidates must be Board-certified or board-eligible in Neurology and possess neuro-palliative training or experience. An active and unrestricted California Medical License and current DEA license are required, though new graduates are welcome to apply.
Sutter East Bay Medical Group (SEBMG) is seeking to hire a full-time neurodegenerative (cognitive disorders, Parkinson's disease/movement disorders) trained physician to join an established group of Neurologists providing Neurology services in the SF East Bay area
The department of neurology consists of 17 physicians and advanced practice clinicians who provide neurological care to the larger East Bay area. While each of the clinicians subspecialize, all also hold subspecialty training and interests.
The current position is meant to be chiefly ambulatory with opportunities to provide some inpatient care to patients with neurologic disorders if desired.
SEBMG is a rapidly growing multi-specialty medical group whose physicians and advanced practice clinicians work in 10 care centers and 4 hospitals in the San Francisco East Bay. SEBMG is affiliated with Sutter East Bay Medical Foundation, a not-for-profit health care organization providing operational and administrative support to the medical group.
Provide high-level comprehensive care to patients with Parkinson's disease and related movement disorders, including programming of deep brain stimulators and subcutaneous medication pumps.
Management of patients with dementing illnesses, in collaboration with extensive clinical staff, including advanced practice pharmacist, medical social worker, and neuropsychologist.
Multiple sub-specialty neurology group with expertise in many areas of Neurology.
Multiple hybrid Neurologist working both inpatient and outpatient.
Comprehensive stroke center and one of the two hospitals.
Opportunities for clinical research, with dedicated research staff.
