The primary responsibilities involve providing psychiatric assessment, diagnostic evaluation, ordering and interpreting laboratory tests, and developing individualized patient management plans including medication prescription and monitoring. This role also requires coordinating care with other medical staff and handling acute psychiatric crises.
Candidates must possess a Master’s Degree from an accredited nursing program and maintain current knowledge of standards of care. Required licensure includes a valid Advanced Practice Registered Nursing (APRN) License in West Virginia, along with specific certifications such as PMHNP-BC or FNP with PMH-NP certification.
