The technologist operates radiology equipment to create diagnostic images as directed by physicians, ensuring the highest quality of patient care while adhering to departmental policies and safety standards. Essential duties also include maintaining equipment, performing secretarial tasks when needed, and gathering necessary supplies for procedures.
A high school diploma is required, along with ARRT Licensure and licensure through the Texas Medical Board; CT, MRI, or Mammography licensure is preferred. Candidates should possess one year of radiology experience preferably, strong English communication skills, general computer proficiency, and the ability to work independently and under pressure.
ABILITY TO USE EQUIPMENT, TOOLS, MATERIALS, MACHINES: Computer, telephone, facsimile machine, copier, scanner, printer, calculator and other standard office equipment. Medical Radiology Imaging Equipment. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/ABILITIES Education: Highschool diploma required ARRT Licensure required; CT, MRI or Mammography licensure preferred Licensure through Texas Medical Board required Basic Life Support Certification
One year experience in radiology preferred. CT or Mammography experience preferred.
