The Monitoring Technician performs standard work related to telemetry monitoring for patients requiring continuous cardiac observation and provides analysis of cardiac rhythms according to all regulatory and hospital standards. This role includes the interpretation, communication, and documentation of cardiac rhythms and other monitored parameters.
Minimum requirements include a High School diploma, GED, or one year of relevant work experience, along with successful completion of Arrhythmia recognition and interpretation training prior to orientation. Preferred qualifications include previous experience as a nurse aide, EMT, or PCT, and holding a Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician [CRAT] credential.
