The MRI technologist prepares patients and operates magnetic resonance equipment to obtain diagnostic scans. They ensure patient safety and comfort, explain procedures, and maintain equipment standards.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and be a graduate of an accredited school for Magnetic Resonance Imaging. Two years of healthcare experience is preferred, along with ARRT or ARMRIT registration in MRI.
Follows and supports OSHA regulations and uses universal precautions when required. Cleans examination surfaces between patients. Provides clean linen including sheets, gowns, pillowcases, and towels. Immediately cleans spills following universal precautions. Properly stores accessory equipment when not in use.
Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Graduate of an accredited school for Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
2 years of healthcare experience preferred. Refer to the Life Support Training Policy for additional details.
