The associate is responsible for dispatching and/or transporting blood and other specimens, assisting laboratory staff with clerical and technical tasks, and potentially performing CLIA waived testing. Duties include adhering to specimen collection requirements and maintaining laboratory supplies and work areas.
Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in receiving, tracking, and processing specimens, including meeting accurate patient identification standards using three unique identifiers. Minimum education requires a certification or degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, or equivalent experience.
