A Physical Therapist is responsible for providing physical therapy services based on medical direction, therapist judgment, and patient needs, organizing programs to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability following injury or disease. This involves obtaining physician information, planning and implementing therapy programs using physical agents, and directing patients in the use of assistive devices.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited physical therapist educational program and maintain a license to practice physical therapy in Iowa, along with current BLS certification. No prior experience is required if education and licensure requirements are met.
