The Pre-Admissions Testing RN gathers necessary patient information from various sources to confirm surgical eligibility and coordinates surgical care by collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR staff to ensure patient safety. Responsibilities include performing patient phone interviews, obtaining required medical documentation, and providing patient education regarding surgical preparation and admission processes.
Candidates must have at least two years of nursing experience, with Pre-Admission Testing experience being preferred, and must successfully complete an RN program, holding an active Maine RN License and BLS certification. Excellent communication and leadership skills are required to collaborate effectively with the healthcare team.
