The therapist will provide individual telehealth therapy sessions (CPT 90837) to patients with eating disorders and related conditions, collaborating closely with Registered Dietitians on shared patients through coordinated treatment planning and joint case review. Responsibilities also include administering screening tools, designing clinical workflows, and completing timely clinical documentation in the EMR.
Candidates must possess an active, independent Washington State license (LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, or Psychologist) with a minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience specifically working with eating disorder populations. Proficiency in evidence-based treatment approaches and comfort with telehealth platforms and cloud-based EMR systems are required.
We are seeking independently licensed therapists to join our growing team as 1099 independent contractors. You will provide individual telehealth therapy to patients with eating disorders and co-occurring conditions, collaborating closely with our Registered Dietitians on shared patients through coordinated treatment planning and joint case review. This is ideal for experienced clinicians who want meaningful, flexible work with an eating disorder population — without the institutional overhead of a traditional PHP/IOP setting.
What You'll Do Provide individual telehealth therapy sessions (53-minute sessions, CPT 90837) to patients with eating disorders and related conditions Collaborate directly with Registered Dietitians on shared patients — coordinated treatment planning, warm handoffs, and joint case review Administer and track validated screening tools (GAD-7, PHQ-9, EDQS) to measure patient progress and inform treatment Help design session playbooks, clinical workflows, and the overall therapy program as we build out this service line Address co-occurring conditions including anxiety, depression, trauma, sleep disorders, and body image disturbance Complete clinical documentation in our EMR within 48 hours of each session Navigate mature minor consent for adolescent patients as applicable under Washington State law Participate in regular clinical peer support calls and care coordination meetings What You Bring Required: Active, independent Washington State license — one of the following: LICSW (Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker) — strongly preferred LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor) — strongly preferred LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist) Licensed Psychologist No associate-level or pre-licensure candidates — you must be independently licensed with no supervision requirements Minimum 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience working directly with eating disorder populations Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based treatment approaches for eating disorders (e.g., CBT, DBT, ACT, IFS, Motivational Interviewing, FBT, or other recognized modalities) Experience administering and interpreting validated outcome measures Comfortable providing therapy via telehealth platforms and completing documentation in cloud-based EMR systems Must maintain your own professional liability / malpractice insurance Responsible for your own taxes, license renewals, and continuing education Reliable internet connection and private, HIPAA-compliant workspace for telehealth sessions Preferred: Active licenses in additional states beyond Washington (highly preferred — expands your ability to see patients across our growing service area) Experience in PHP/IOP eating disorder treatment programs (partial hospitalization / intensive outpatient) Adolescent therapy experience and familiarity with Washington State mature minor consent laws CEDS or CEDS-S certification (Certified Eating Disorder Specialist) from iaedp, or working toward it Interest in program design and clinical operations — helping build workflows, session frameworks, and clinical protocols beyond direct patient care Familiarity with or willingness to learn tools such as Healthie (EMR), Slack, and Zoom What We're Looking For Strong clinical skills with a compassionate, non-pathologizing approach to eating disorder care Deep respect for client autonomy, body wisdom, and lived experience Clear, timely communicator and thoughtful collaborator Committed to unlearning bias and practicing inclusive, affirming care Self-directed and comfortable in a fully remote, tech-enabled practice Eager to help build something meaningful — not just deliver sessions
Competitive pay: $75/session for billable therapy sessions and $25/hour for required team meetings (1:1s, all-hands, care coordination calls — approximately 1–2 hours per week) Flexibility to set your own schedule within patient demand Opportunity to shape the therapy program from the ground up Collaborative, mission-driven team that understands clinician burnout Structured session playbooks, clinical workflows, and outcome measurement tools Regular peer support calls and ClinOps meetings Built-in referral pipeline from our existing RD patient base — no need to build a caseload from scratch Please Note This is a 1099 independent contractor position. You are responsible for self-employment taxes, malpractice insurance, license maintenance, and continuing education costs. Contractor is not compensated for patient no-shows; Nabi maintains a patient no-show/late cancellation policy to minimize occurrence. Payment is biweekly.
