The Substance Use Counselor provides high-quality, compassionate guidance through individual and group counseling sessions to support patients recovering from opioid use disorder. Responsibilities include planning, overseeing, facilitating, and documenting the patient's recovery process, conducting assessments, and managing case duties.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a social or health services field from an accredited institution, along with previous experience in addiction recovery or behavioral health settings. Familiarity with Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) and knowledge of evidence-based practices like CBT and Motivational Interviewing are required.
