The role involves carrying out the planning and treatment of patients using X-rays, electrons, or radiation from sealed sources as prescribed by a Radiation Oncologist. Associated duties include patient care and general and technical administration.
Applicants must be Radiation Therapists in Training, currently enrolled in the final year of an accredited pre-entry tertiary program and hold student registration with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia. Essential requirements also include sound interpersonal and communication skills, knowledge of continuous quality improvement, and the ability to undertake client education.

Who are we looking for?
Applications are invited from Radiation Therapists in Training interested in being considered for fixed-term full time, part-time or casual employment periods up to 12 months within The Royal Hobart Hospital, Launceston General Hospital, or the North West Regional Hospital.
Employment of Radiation Therapists in Training generally is during the period encompassing completion of pre-entry tertiary program requirements until their qualification is conferred and essential requirements for employment as an RT Level 1-2 are met.
You will be required to carry out the planning and treatment of patients with X-rays, electrons or radiation from sealed sources as prescribed by a Radiation Oncologist. Associated duties including patient care, general and technical administration.
This Register will remain open to applicants at all times until 30 June 2026 and will be reviewed on a regular basis. Please note that the Register will not preclude other positions being advertised if warranted.

Salary details: $77,642 pro rata per annum + 11% superannuation
