The Medical Assistant supports efficient primary care delivery by providing both administrative and clinical assistance, fostering a compassionate, patient-focused experience. Key duties include performing clinical tasks like administering injections and collecting specimens, alongside administrative functions such as chart preparation and patient communication.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and graduation from a Medical Assistant program is necessary, with MA certification being preferred. Candidates must possess skills in patient care procedures, vital sign measurement, vaccine administration, and maintaining patient confidentiality while effectively communicating with the care team.
