The Medical Assistant coordinates patient care before, during, and after office visits by preparing patients, documenting vitals, maintaining exam rooms, and performing basic clinical procedures like assisting with casting and suture removal. Key duties also involve facilitating communication between patients and providers and managing administrative tasks like prescription preparation and chart verification.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED, with graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred. Preferred experience includes one to two years in a healthcare setting, familiarity with office medical procedures, EMR systems, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
The Medical Assistant/Clinical Assistant is responsible for assisting providers with patient care and acts as the coordinator of care for patients before, during, and after office visits. This role includes preparing patients for visits, documenting vitals, maintaining exam room standards, performing basic clinical procedures, assisting with wound care and casting, and ensuring effective communication between patients and providers across multiple locations. This is a full-time position with Monday through Friday hours.
• BLS certification preferred.
