The role involves assisting with direct patient care, including obtaining vital signs, assisting with hygiene and feeding, performing routine procedures like EKGs and skin preps, and scheduling diagnostic tests. Responsibilities also include timely response to call lights, recognizing changes in patient condition, and maintaining patient confidentiality.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma/GED or equivalent direct patient healthcare experience, with active enrollment required if the diploma/GED is not yet obtained. A current BLS certification is mandatory or must be obtained within 30 days of hire, alongside strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
