The Medical Assistant provides essential clinical and administrative support to physicians and patients, involving tasks from welcoming patients and taking vitals to assisting with minor in-office procedures and surgeries. Administrative duties include managing schedules, handling check-in/out processes, verifying insurance, and maintaining patient records.
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED and either completion of a Medical Assistant program or 2+ years of clinical experience, along with CMA or RMA certification. Required competencies include strong multitasking, communication, customer service skills, and proficiency with EMR systems and basic insurance processes.
