The Registrar obtains demographic, medical, and insurance information from patients in the Emergency Department, entering all necessary details into computer records according to established procedures. This role also involves performing various clerical tasks, securing necessary signatures, and coordinating patient transfers and follow-up scheduling.
Candidates need one to three months of experience within the department to meet quality standards, along with familiarity with hospital departments, medical terminology, insurance forms, and efficient bed utilization procedures. The role demands strong interpersonal skills, the ability to operate standard office equipment accurately, and absolute confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
