Licensed Practical Nurses in the Float Pool provide high-quality, compassionate care across various units, including Medical Surgical, Renal/Oncology, Women and Pediatrics, and Ortho/Neuro/Trauma areas. Responsibilities involve performing nursing care activities under RN supervision, such as administering routine medications, performing treatments like wound care and IV placements, and documenting care within the scope of practice.
Applicants must be a graduate from an approved nursing program and hold a current Licensed Practical Nurse license in the State of Maryland, along with current BLS (CPR) certification. One year of experience in a relevant specialty is preferred for this role.
LPN – Float Pool
Night Shift- 630pm- 7am
$1.00/hr premium pay for all hours worked
LPN’s working in the Float Pool at Meritus Medical Center play a key role in providing high-quality, compassionate care across multiple units in our hospital. Scope of Practice LPNs at Meritus Health practice within their licensure and training, in accordance with Maryland Board of Nursing regulations and Meritus Health policies. Under the direct supervision of a registered nurse, you will perform a wide range of nursing care activities to meet the personal needs and comfort of patients while maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment.
Education – Graduate from an approved nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
Experience – One year experience in relevant specialty preferred.
Licensure/Certification – Current license to practice in the State of Maryland as LPN. BLS (CPR) in compliance with policy required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities – Current license to practice in the State of Maryland as LPN. BLS (CPR) in compliance with policy required.
