The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant will optimize patients' physical ability skills under the direction of an Occupational Therapist, executing prescribed treatments and ensuring appropriate documentation of progress toward objectives. This role also involves communicating patient status to patients, families, and staff, and actively participating in facility education about therapy services.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited school for Occupational Therapy Assistants and hold COTA certification in Occupational Therapy, along with state licensure/registration where applicable. Required certifications include Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), with First Aid certification being preferred.
