Responsible for the cleaning, disinfecting, and proper handling of flexible endoscopes and related equipment. Ensures patient safety by following infection control guidelines and manufacturer instructions.
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and the physical ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 30 pounds. Must be able to wear PPE for extended periods and work a flexible schedule including some Saturdays.
Position requires weekdays only and 1 Saturday a month based on a staff rotation -- no holidays or call. Some later evenings required.
The Endoscope Washer / Endoscope Reprocessing Technician is responsible for the cleaning, disinfecting, and proper handling of flexible endoscopes and related equipment in accordance with facility policies, manufacturer instructions, and infection control guidelines. This position plays a critical role in preventing infection transmission and maintaining patient safety.
