The Specialist is responsible for planning, developing, and coordinating events and programming for residents and family members, creating an environment of wellness and engagement. This includes leading creative community events, organizing volunteers, preparing required documentation like activity assessments and progress notes, and implementing wellness programs.
The ideal candidate must be creative and possess excellent listening, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Preferred experience includes two years in social or recreational programming in a healthcare setting, especially working with residents with Dementia, and a CNA certification is preferred.
