The Direct Service Associate III is responsible for providing direct care to mentally ill patients within an assigned unit, adhering to the philosophy and objectives of the Eastern State Hospital Department of Nursing and the Hospital's mission. Shifts are scheduled for nights, including 8-hour and 12-hour options.
A minimum requirement for this position is possessing a valid driver's license or obtaining one within 60 days of employment. Experience working directly with individuals facing challenging mental health and behavior issues in a public, residential, or psychiatric hospital setting is preferred.

The Direct Service Associate III is directly accountable to the LPN, RN I, RN II, RN MGR I, for the provision of direct care to mentally ill patients in an assigned unit, according to the philosophy and objectives of Eastern State Hospital Department of Nursing and the Hospital’s mission, goals and objectives.
Shifts are as follows: 11:00pm-7:30am (two 8-hour shifts) 7:00pm-7:30am (two 12-hour shifts)
