The Pharmacy Technician will primarily assist patients with prescription drop-offs, ensure accurate data entry into the computer system, and communicate with insurance carriers regarding claims. They will also support the pharmacist in filling and labeling prescriptions, obtaining new or refill orders, and participating in team-based medication management.
Candidates must have a High School diploma or equivalent and a State of Michigan Pharmacy Technician license, with PTCB or NHA certification encouraged, along with required Basic Life Support certification. Preferred experience includes six months in retail or hospital pharmacy, along with basic computer skills, typing accuracy of 35 wpm, and knowledge of insurance systems.
