Candidates must possess knowledge of aseptic technique and adhere to endoscopy procedure requirements, including accurately interpreting verbal orders and communicating patient status. Minimum qualifications include Medical Assistant certification or similar healthcare training, with preference given to experience in endoscopy procedure rooms and disinfection/sterilization processes for endoscopes.
Demonstrates knowledge of aseptic technique and provides safe, optimal care to each patient based on his or her individual needs. Manages equipment and scopes for the procedures, cleaning and maintaining endoscopes and equipment.

Demonstrates ability to stand and/or walk for long periods of time. Ability to move quickly in response to physician and patient needs, occasional overhead, and low reaching, bending, and the ability to exert force of up to 50 lbs. occasionally, up to 20 lbs. frequently and/or up to 10 lbs. constantly. Patient care activities require the ability to exert force of up to 30 lbs. constantly, up to 40 lbs. occasionally and up to 100 lbs. rarely. May be staffed in other ASC areas as needed depending on the schedule and facility needs.
