The primary responsibility involves coordinating all referrals and follow-up care for clinic patients, including receiving, processing, scheduling, and tracking medical referral requests for diagnostic testing or specialists. This role also requires managing authorization requests, ensuring timely re-authorizations, and documenting all actions within the Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
A high school diploma or GED is required for this position, although being bilingual in English/Spanish is highly preferred. Candidates should ideally possess one year of patient services or referrals experience in a medical office setting.

The primary responsibility of the Referrals and Authorizations Clerk is to coordinate all referrals and follow-up care for clinic patients. The clerk is also responsible for receiving, processing, scheduling, and following up on all medical referral requests, including in-house and outside referrals for diagnostic testing, medical specialists, or other providers.
M-F 8am-5pm(1 hour lunch). This is a hybrid position(2 days remote/3 days onsite).

$22.88 to $32.04 per hour, depending on experience.
The posted salary range reflects the designated pay grade for this position. While this range represents the broader classification of the role, actual compensation will be based on several factors, including but not limited to: the candidate’s overall knowledge, skills, and experience, market data and industry benchmarks, internal equity within the organization, Budgetary considerations and organizational needs. As a result, placement within the range is not guaranteed, and the full pay grade range may not be utilized.
