Preferred qualifications include prior experience coordinating authorizations and working in a procedural or surgical clinic, with a minimum of three years in medical office or healthcare scheduling experience.

The Procedure Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and scheduling patient procedures, managing assigned provider procedure schedules, and ensuring all required documentation, authorizations, and clearances are obtained prior to the procedure date. This role verifies patient demographic and insurance information, maintains accurate scheduling and patient records, and collaborates closely with providers, nursing staff, hospital departments, and external vendors to ensure timely and successful procedures. The Procedure Scheduler provides excellent customer service to patients, providers, and external partners while maintaining professionalism, discretion, and strict confidentiality. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
