The Certified Pharmacy Technician will support patient medication needs by processing and dispensing specialty prescriptions, including sterile compounding, while also managing inventory and handling administrative and financial tasks. Responsibilities also include communicating therapy details to patients and assisting pharmacists with follow-up and documentation.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED, be a Registered Pharmacy Tech in the state of work, and hold an active CPT-EXCPT, CPT-PTCB, or CPHT certification. A minimum of six months of experience compounding IV medication is required.
Prepare and compound various medications, including intravenous admixtures. Apply pharmacy standards and procedures, including I.V. admixture and automated systems. Communicate effectively in English and establish positive working relationships.
